  • The Alliance for Aviation Across America applauds the U.S. Department of Transportation for its decisive action in unveiling a comprehensive plan to modernize our nation’s air traffic control (ATC) system. This initiative is a critical step toward ensuring the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of the national airspace system.

“We fully support the Department of Transportation’s commitment and consensus-based approach to modernize outdated ATC technologies and address the pressing need for increased air traffic controller staffing,” said Devin Osting, interim executive director of the Alliance for Aviation Across America. “These measures are essential to meet the growing demands of air transportation and to maintain the United States’ leadership in aviation safety.

“Aviation is critical to our modern economy, and general aviation is especially important to rural regions and smaller communities across the country. General aviation supports an economic impact of $339 billion and 1.3 million American jobs, and plays a crucial role in emergency response, natural disaster relief, food production, operations for businesses of all sizes, and connecting communities.”
