Washington, DC – The Alliance for Aviation Across America today applauded Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders for recognizing August as “General Aviation Appreciation Month.” General aviation airports in Arkansas support an economic impact of over $467 million.
“In Arkansas, general aviation and our network of airports support the livelihood of businesses, towns, cities, and farms across the state and country,” said Devin Osting, interim executive director of the Alliance for Aviation Across America. “For example, aerial application is vital to the agricultural output of the state, especially to rice production in southeast Arkansas.
“We thank Governor Huckabee Sanders for her leadership in recognizing the importance of general aviation and look forward to further working with her and other leaders to support these aircraft and our network of airports.”
