Washington, DC – Today, the Alliance for Aviation Across America commended Wildwood Mayor Ernest Troiano Jr. and the Board of Commissioners for proclaiming March “General Aviation Appreciation Month.” In New Jersey, general aviation airports support an economic impact of $2.8 billion annually.
“The mayor’s proclamation helps to highlight the vital contributions of general aviation, including local job and business growth and support for valuable services, to the community of Millville,” said Devin Osting, interim executive director of the Alliance for Aviation Across America. “We thank the mayor, the board, and the city for recognizing this crucial industry.”
The proclamation not only cites the economic impact of general aviation and local airports like the Cape May Airport but also the importance of investing in this infrastructure to encourage enthusiasm in flying and grow the next generation of pilots and aviation professionals, as well as to encourage future growth through investments in sustainability.
