“Governor Dalrymple’s proclamation raises awareness about the importance of general aviation and local airports in North Dakota, and we thank him for his efforts,” said Selena Shilad, Executive Director of the Alliance for Aviation Across America. “General aviation has a dramatic economic impact, boosting local economies, supporting agriculture, and connecting rural communities in North Dakota.”

“Business aviation is critical to helping companies to manage their daily operations, expand their customer base, and unlock opportunities in the global market,” explained Ed Bolen, President and CEO of the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA). “We applaud the Governor for this proclamation and look forward to working with him on issues critical to business aviation.”

“General aviation inspires young people to fly, and helps spread awareness about the everyday importance of aviation among the general public,” said Jack Pelton, Chairman and CEO of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA). “We appreciate this proclamation and thank Governor Dalrymple and the people of North Dakota.”

Greg Principato, President and CEO of that National Association of State Aviation Officials (NASAO) stated, “North Dakota’s network of 89 public-use airports are a lifeline to our rural communities, link businesses and customers and support jobs. We thank Governor Dalrymple and Director of North Dakota Aeronautics Commission, Kyle Wanner, for their work supporting general aviation and community airports throughout the state.”

“General aviation businesses are critical to the economy of North Dakota, supporting jobs and competitiveness,” stated Thomas L.
