    The Alliance Commends Culpeper Mayor Olinger for Declaring May ‘General Aviation Appreciation Month’

    Washington, DC – The Alliance for Aviation Across America today commended Mayor Mike Olinger of Culpeper, Virginia for proclaiming May “General Aviation Appreciation Month.” In Virginia, general aviation airports contribute more than $728 million to the state’s economy.

    “Mayor Olinger’s proclamation helps highlight the economic benefits and valuable service that general aviation provides to Culpeper and the state of Virginia,” said Selena Shilad, Executive Director of the Alliance for Aviation Across America. “We sincerely thank the Mayor and the town of Culpeper for recognizing this vital industry.”
