The Alliance Commends Medford Mayor Wheeler for Declaring May ‘General Aviation Appreciation Month’
Washington, DC – The Alliance for Aviation Across America today commended Mayor Gary H. Wheeler of Medford, Oregon, for proclaiming May “General Aviation Appreciation Month.” In Oregon, general aviation contributes $3 billion annually to the state’s economy.
“Mayor Wheeler’s proclamation is important in helping to educate the public about the essential services and economic benefit that general aviation provides to the state of Oregon,” said Selena Shilad, Executive Director of the Alliance for Aviation Across America. “We thank Mayor Wheeler and the city of Medford for their recognition of the value of general aviation.”
