“General aviation and local airports enable communities in Florida to connect with far off markets and crucial services,” stated Mark Baker, President and CEO of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA). “We applaud Governor Scott’s recognition of the significance of this industry and the benefits that it provides to the citizens of Florida and around the country.”
“Business aviation is a critical economic driver and job creator in Florida and across the country,” said Ed Bolen, President and CEO of the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA). “We are grateful for Governor Scott’s proclamation recognizing the value of all general aviation, including business aviation.”
“General aviation is a lifeline to communities and an important part of the fabric and infrastructure of our country,” said Jack Pelton, Chairman of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA). “We thank Governor Scott for his proclamation, which recognizes the benefits of general aviation and encourages interest and enthusiasm for aviation.”
Kim Stevens, interim President and CEO of the National Association of State Aviation Officials (NASAO) noted, “Florida’s vast network of airports not only represents a vital method of transportation, but helps connect the state’s businesses, farms and communities with necessary goods and services.
