    The Alliance Commends Tupelo Mayor Jason L. Shelton for Declaring February ‘General Aviation Appreciation Month’

    Washington, DC – The Alliance for Aviation Across America today commended Mayor Jason L. Shelton of Tupelo, Mississippi for proclaiming February “General Aviation Appreciation Month.” In Mississippi, general aviation has an annual economic impact of $860 million.

    “Mayor Shelton’s proclamation is helpful in educating the public about the vital services and economic benefits that general aviation provides to local communities and the state of Mississippi,” said Selena Shilad, Executive Director of the Alliance for Aviation Across America. “We extend our gratitude to Mayor Shelton and the city of Tupelo for recognizing this vital industry.”
