  • Cirrus Aircraft and Textron Aviation delivered the most general aviation aircraft by far in 2025—797 and 639 shipments, respectively, according to the General Aviation Manufacturers Association’s (GAMA) recently released annual figures.

Breaking it out by model, Cirrus delivered 384 single-engine SR22Ts, making it the most shipped aircraft in 2025. Cirrus offers four aircraft models that generated $1.2 billion in 2025, according to GAMA.

Textron Aviation delivered 191 single-engine piston-powered Cessna 172S Skyhawk SP, making it the second most popular aircraft. Textron’s portfolio of 18 different aircraft netted billings of $3.8 billion in 2025, GAMA says.

Not far behind in third place is Piper Aircraft’s single-engine PA-27-181 Archer/Pilot 100i at 188 units. Piper’s six models generated $422.5 million in 2025.

Not surprisingly, single-engine piston and electric aircraft accounted for the most shipments in 2025 (1,782), followed by turbine-powered business jets (1,448) then turboprop-powered aircraft (594).

Those figures generate two big milestones. First, “the value of the piston airplanes is again the highest it has ever been at $1.4 billion, an increase of 9.1%,” says Ron Draper, GAMA Chairman and Textron Aviation president and CEO. Second, business jet shipments increased 11.8% compared to 2024 and were the highest level since 2009, he says.

Piston, turboprop and business jet aircraft combined generated $31 billion in 2025, $27.2 billion of which comes from the jets.

The association, which separates helicopters from fixed-wing aircraft, reports that manufacturers delivered 938 rotorcraft worth $4.7 billion last year, with Airbus models logging the most—373 deliveries worth $2.6 billion.

The Airbus H125/125M was the top-delivered helicopter (136) across all manufacturers in 2025, according to GAMA figures. The Airbus H125/H125M generated the second-highest deliveries at 96, followed by the Bell 505 at 84.

When combining the helicopters with the other aircraft, manufacturers delivered aircraft valued at more than $35 billion in 2025, which Draper says is “the highest ever recorded.”

GAMA doesn’t break out revenue by aircraft model, but it does divide aircraft delivery types by region. Airplane shipments across the board were highest in North America: 72.6% of pistons, 57.6% of turboprops and 64.9% of business jets.

Latin America had the second-highest deliveries in piston (9%) and turboprops (17.3%), but Europe took the second-highest number of business jets, with 12.9% of that category.

In terms of highest billings, Gulfstream dominated—$10 billion.
