The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) announces the availability of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) at three Las Vegas-area airports during the upcoming NBAA-BACE convention.
The 2024 NBAA-BACE will be held from October 22nd to 24th at the Las Vegas Convention Center and Henderson Executive Airport. During this period, airport-based fuel providers at Henderson Executive Airport (HND), North Las Vegas Airport (VGT), and Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) will offer SAF through their fixed base operators (FBOs).
“We are making SAF available for operators at NBAA-BACE as a way of promoting the production, availability and use of the fuel, which is a critical component of our industry’s comprehensive plan for continued emissions reduction,” said NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen.
NBAA said that the availability of SAF goes beyond just offering an alternative fuel option, reflecting broader sustainability focus of the entire BACE event.
Some of the initiatives taken by NBAA at BACE include a dedicated two-day Business Aviation Sustainability Summit which will feature industry experts from across the value chain discussing ways to promote sustainability on both the ground and in the air.
In addition, the association has organised special Exhibitor Sustainability Pledge, aiming to make 2024 NBAA-BACE one of the most sustainable trade shows ever.
The event coincides with the one-year anniversary of CLIMBING. FAST., the industry’s advocacy initiative that emphasises business aviation’s leadership in sustainability to policymakers and the public.
