Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter sets last fly-in of the summer at Geauga County Airport

  • Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 5 announced that the last Fly-in of the summer will take place 7 to 11 a.m. Sept. 21 at Geauga County Airport 15421 Old State Road in Middlefield.

    A pancake breakfast will be offered from 7 to 11 a.m. at a cost of $10 for adults, $5 for kids ages 3 to 12 and free for those under 3. It will feature all-you-can-eat pancakes, served with a choice of meat, eggs, coffee, juice or soda.

    Free Young Eagle airplane rides will run, weather permitting, from 8 to 11 a.m., providing rides for first-time flyers ages 8 to 17 with parent permission. Pre-registrater at YoungEaglesDay.org.

    The fly-in has free admission and there will be displays, demonstrations and youth activities throughout the morning as well as AirMed, antique and unusual aircraft, homebuilt aircraft and more.

    It is recommended attendees bring their lawn chairs and be prepared for the weather.
