August 19th is National Aviation Day and what better way to celebrate than along the Outer Banks? After all, Kitty Hawk is the famed town in which The Wright Brothers made the first successful attempt at powered flight.
From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., individuals of all ages are invited to convene at the Dare County Regional Airport located at 410 Airport Road in Manteo for a fun-filled day of all things aviation.
Historian and featured speaker Larry Tise, will be there to enrich both locals and visitors on the history of aircraft and the influence that the technological innovations of flight have on our world in both the past, present, and future.
Food trucks will also be there for attendees to enjoy, as well as airplane displays, and a variety of exhibitors including:
