Today, the Alliance for Aviation Across America commended Governor Mark Gordon of Wyoming for proclaiming February “General Aviation Appreciation Month.” In Wyoming, general aviation airports support an economic impact of $2 billion annually.
“The Governor’s proclamation helps highlight the economic benefits and valuable service that general aviation provides to the State of Wyoming,” said Selena Shilad, Executive Director of the Alliance for Aviation Across America. “We sincerely thank the Governor and the State of Wyoming for recognizing this vital industry.”
The proclamation not only cites the economic impact of general aviation and local airports but also the importance of investing in this infrastructure to encourage enthusiasm in flying and grow the next generation of pilots and aviation professionals, as well as to encourage future growth through investments in sustainability.
