  • Evansville Regional Airport, in partnership with nine regional companies, launches new Fly

Local program designed to make the airport and entire region immediately more competitive.

Evansville Regional Airport officials unveiled the new FlyEVV First program designed to maximize the impact that flying local has on the region at an Evansville Rotary luncheon held at Bally’s on Nov. 30, 2021.

“FlyEVV First provides the opportunity for regional business leaders to continually help move our region forward by committing their companies to utilize Evansville Regional Airport,” said Nate Hahn, Executive Director at Evansville Regional Airport. “Flying EVV First benefits the entire region by improving our region’s global competitiveness, reducing overall business travel costs and growing our region’s economy.”

The first nine companies to join the FlyEVV First program are AstraZeneca, Atlas, Berry Global, CenterPoint Energy, Energy Systems Group (ESG), Gibbs, Koch Enterprises, Old National and Toyota.

Hahn said when regional companies and local business owners make the commitment to FlyEVV First, they demonstrate demand, encouraging airlines to lower fares and add more flights and destinations to the EVV route map. The more people who choose to fly local, the better EVV’s chances are to increase additional flight options and service to new destinations.

“There is a direct correlation between increased usage at EVV and the potential for new routes,” said Hahn. “Airlines monitor passenger volume as they determine air service expansion plans, so the best way to continually grow our airport, is to choose EVV when traveling.”

FlyEVV First provides an opportunity for businesses and organizations both large and small to adopt a company policy in support of EVV-exclusive originating air travel. For more information, and to make the commitment to FlyEVV First, visit www.flyevv.com/first.
