DAYTON, Ohio (WRGT/WKEF) -Airplane lovers got a chance to see planes hit the skies Sunday for the Experimental Aircraft Association’s (EAA) Annual Fly-In .
The 60th Annual Fly-in Sunday Funday event showcased a range of airplanes from experimental, vintage, and regular aircraft’s at the Moraine Airpark Sunday.
Food, family and flying was the name of the game at the Fly-In with the EAA hosting a pancake breakfast for the entire family.
Vice President of the Local Chapter 48 EAA Wesley Davis said he hopes that the Fly-In brings more attention towards the local EAA and the aviation community.
“The general aviation community is a small one and we would like to grow it, a lot of people don’t realize you can come out here and you can rent a small airplane and go fly.” Said
The event is the longest running experimental aircraft association fly-in the world, with pilots coming from across nation.
