Montrose, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT)– Officials met at Montrose Regional to talk about the economic impact that the airport has on the area.
An economic impact study report was discussed, and while it hasn’t been made public yet, changes are coming to the airport.
Officials say the building is the top economic driver in Montrose County, and puts in over two-hundred-million dollars into the economy through jobs and airport visitors.
The airport is currently talking about expanding, and possibly adding a second level to the building to accommodate the over two-hundred-fifty thousand passengers use the airport every year.
