WASHINGTON – The Alliance for Aviation Across America commended Mayor Michael C. Butler of Orangeburg for proclaiming August “South Carolina General Aviation Month.”
In South Carolina, general aviation airports contribute over $1 billion to the state’s economy annually.
“Mayor Butler’s proclamation helps highlight the economic benefits and valuable service that general aviation provides to the City of Orangeburg and the State of South Carolina,” said Selena Shilad, executive director of the Alliance for Aviation Across America. “We sincerely thank the mayor and the City of Orangeburg for recognizing this vital industry.”
