FARMVILLE, NC (WITN) – An experimental aircraft association in Eastern Carolina is holding its annual Fall Aviation Day and Fly-in this weekend.
The annual event promotes general aviation and organizers say it is a great introduction to flying, especially for children who can learn more about the role smaller aircraft play in the transportation system.
In year’s past, more than 250+ airplane rides have been given to participants.
There will also be a hotdog lunch, music from Victor Hudson and a 4 wheel drive club static display.
Weather permitting, the event is happening on Saturday, Sept. 23 from 11am-2pm at Flanagan Field, located 2 miles east of Farmville on Old 264 at Flanagan Field at Arch Flanagan Road.
The cost is $12 for adults and $6 for children.
