110 U.S. mayors, including Wichita’s Jeff Longwell, Shaun Musil of Hays, Jon Daveline of Hutchinson and Kaye Crawford of Salina, went on record Monday opposing any plans to privatize the air traffic control system.
According to a KAKE report, the “Alliance for Aviation Across America” warned Congress in a letter that a private company overseeing air traffic would be controlled by the commercial airlines.
