According to early results of an AIN reader survey, nearly 75 percent of respondents said they would be affected if aviation user fees were implemented in the U.S., so much so that 25 percent contend that such fees could potentially lead to the disposal of their business aircraft. Nearly 60 percent said the gridlock in U.S. Congress is harming business aviation, with 56 percent saying they expect this logjam to continue even after the November elections.
Looking at the Presidential slate, half believe that Donald Trump would act in the best interests of business aviation, while only about 20 percent feel the same way about Hillary Clinton. Another 13 percent said both candidates would be good for business aviation, and 18 percent opted for “neither.” If you haven’t taken the short reader survey, today is the last day for you to provide your valuable input.
