The borough’ Port Authority will receive a $57,000 federal grant to finalize the design for its runway, according to a statement from U.S. Rep. Frank A. LoBiondo.
The congressman also announced a $2.34 million grant to the Delaware River and Bay Authority for the Millville municipal airport.
“With more than $100 million invested at various facilities over the past decade, we have made substantial improvements to South Jersey’s community airports which have helped create opportunities for more businesses and more jobs,” LoBiondo said.
“Today’s funding will complete projects at both Millville and Woodbine airports, ensuring safety in future operations and additional economic opportunities. I will continue to work closely with local officials and the FAA to bring additional federal resources to our region.”
