The North Dakota Aviation Council held its annual symposium March 6 through 8 in Bismarck. The three-day event coincides with National Aviation Month of March.
Members attend aviation seminars, FAA safety sessions, airport management sessions, medical seminars, maintenance sessions, airport project programs, along with over 50 aviation related venders.
Local pilots attending were Ted Dilse and Bowman Airport Board member Rodney Schaaf. This year’s featured banquet speaker was Dick Rutan, who was part of the crew, that flew the Voyager around the world, un-refueled, in over nine days in 1986. Rutan and Schaaf are both Air Force veterans.
