Three West Virginia Mayors Declare January ‘General Aviation Appreciation Month’

  • Mayor Andy McKenzie of Wheeling, West Virginia, Mayor Ronald J. Straight, Sr. of Fairmont, West Virginia, and Mayor George Karos of Martinsburg, West Virginia, have all proclaimed January “General Aviation Appreciation Month.”

    In West Virginia, general aviation contributes more than $1 billion to the state’s total economic output annually, according to officials with the Alliance for Aviation Across America.
