The Orangeburg Municipal Airport has been the destination of numerous dignitaries and presidential candidates alike this year.
Perhaps, however, the most popular passenger to land at the Orangeburg facility each year is Santa.
Once again, the North Pole’s most famous resident will visit the city to kick off the Christmas season.
Santa will arrive by jet at the city airport at 2 p.m. this Sunday, Dec. 6, and the public is invited to come out and welcome the jolly ol’ fellow.
After Santa lands, he will hand-deliver a personal gift to each boy and girl in attendance (provided their mom or dad leaves a wrapped package with the child’s name on it prior to Old St. Nick’s arrival).
The airport will be accepting gifts through Saturday, Dec. 5.
The Orangeburg Chapter of the Hawthorne Aviators will once again serve as hosts for the annual Santa Fly-In.
Refreshments will be provided.
