Cape Cod Community College will hold an Engineering and Aviation Expo from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday that will include a landing by the Maine State Police helicopter.
The expo will showcase the college’s growth in the areas of engineering technology, advanced manufacturing and aviation maintenance, according to college officials.
Manufacturers, equipment dealers and distributors, and prospective employers will attend the event, which will include specialized training and simulator demonstrations.
Throughout the day, program specialists and admissions professionals will give short presentations on the community college’s course of studies and career pathway in manufacturing and engineering and airframe and power plant maintenance for aircraft.
Hundreds of middle- and high school students are expected to tour the expo, which is also open to the public.
The police helicopter is expected to land on the college’s soccer field at 11:30 a.m. and stay for at least an hour.
The expo itself is being held in the college’s gymnasium. College officials recommend that those attending the event park in Lot 12.
