Ohio Senator Sherrod Brown announced that the Wood County Airport will be receiving more than $143,000 in federal money to put towards improvements.

U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) today announced $143,235 in federal resources for Wood County Airport in Bowling Green to make improvements that will help increase efficiency and safety. The Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) awarded the funding.
“Support for community airports is key to the safety of travelers and the flow of commerce,” said Brown. “This award will give Wood County the resources to make needed improvements that will benefit those that rely on the local airport and its services.”
The $143,235 award will fund the replacement of the airport’s existing beacon as well as a mill and overlay to rehabilitate 470 feet of taxiway.
