Mansfield Lahm Airport held their annual Open House and Airport Day, a family-friendly event that invites the public to enjoy airplanes and more. Event chairman Bill Schmidt spoke about how it appeals to all ages.
“It’s safe, it’s clean, it’s a daytime activity,” Schmidt said. “I’ve had mothers tell me how their young children, you know, six, seven, or eight-year-olds actually look forward to coming out to the airport. It’s a chance to actually touch and feel that aviation experience.”
Aside from the various aircraft on display, the event also featured a pancake breakfast and a car show. More than 3,000 people attend Mansfield Airport Day each year.
