The findings of Sandoval County’s recent airport feasibility study will be discussed at Thursday’s county commission meeting.
According to the “Sandoval County Airport Feasibility Study Update,” the absence of the Coronado Airport, which closed in 2001, is still felt within the county. The study, conducted by the county and design company WHPacific Inc., concluded that “the need for a replacement airport remains today.”
The new findings provide an update to the county’s last airport feasibility study, which was conducted in 2008.
The meeting starts at 6 p.m. in the commission chambers at the county administrative offices, 1500 Idalia Road, Building D, in Bernalillo.
