BLOOMINGTON, Ill. — Bloomington’s airport officials got a chance to share their concerns about funding for airport projects during a meeting with Congressman Rodney Davis.
The 13th District Republican is a member of a house aviation subcommittee.
Congressman Davis says meetings like today give him a chance to hear what needs changed and then try to fix it.
Smaller facilities like Central Illinois Regional Airport compete for their share of capital funds in order to attract air carriers.
“It gives me as a policy maker a chance to really understand what it is that we need to do in Washington to make sure….airports operate into the future,” said Rep. Davis.
Congressman Davis’ visit was part of his aviation listening tour held in airports throughout his district.
