The three abandoned puppies, were early morning passengers on a small aircraft, leaving Ava to find a new home in Omaha, Nebraska, last Thursday. The puppies were flown by Pilots N Paws, a non-profit organization that assists with the transportation of animals. Jim Bordoni, a pilot from Kansas City, Mo., landed his plane at the Bill Martin Municipal Airport in Ava around 8:00 a.m., picked up the puppies, and soon thereafter, took off for Bolivar, Mo. where he was scheduled to pick up three more dogs traveling to foster care in Omaha.
