If you fly out of John C. Tune Airport, you might need to make other arrangements for this summer.
The Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority announced today that John C. Tune, the city’s small, general aviation airport, will close for two months this summer, from June 1 through July 30.
The closure will allow for major renovation and reconstruction projects, including an extension of the airport’s runway safety area, extending the airport’s runway from 5,500 feet to 6,000.
During the closure, apron and hangar floors will be rehabilitated, the terminal will be renovated and landscaping work will be conducted.
