Washington, DC, Jan. 15, 2015 – NBAA Charities, in coordination with Dassault Falcon Jet Corp., CAE Simuflite and FlightSafety International, today announced the establishment of the Hank Hilsmann Memorial Scholarship.
The scholarship was created to honor the memory of Hilsmann, whose strength of character inspired a high standard of caring in the business aviation community. In his most recent position as a field representative with Dassault Falcon Jet, as well as in his previous positions as an aviation mechanic and pilot, Hilsmann was known for his integrity and pride in his work.
“Hank was highly regarded in the professional world, as well as in his extended family,” said John Loh, director, technical support with Dassault Falcon Jet Corp. “He was a man you could depend on, who lived with integrity and respect in all aspects of his life. He was proud to hold the title of mechanic and carried it as a badge of honor. He will be long remembered and sorely missed.”
NBAA Charities, Dassault Falcon Jet and Dassault’s authorized training providers CAE Simuflite and Flight Safety International will annually award to current or aspiring maintenance technicians two Falcon Jet aircraft initial maintenance courses conducted at CAE Simuflite in Morristown, NJ, Dallas, TX or Little Rock, AR, and at Flight Safety International in Dallas, TX or Wilmington, DE. The award will also include travel expenses.
