The N.C. Division of Aviation has awarded $2.5 million in State Aid to the Currituck County Regional Airport for improvements.
Marla Roth with the North Carolina Department of Transportation said in a news release the money will go towards the design and construction of the south parallel taxiway, which will complete the full parallel taxiway.
“Currituck County Regional Airport is a general aviation facility that has an approximate $10 million a year impact on North Carolina and supports more than 40 jobs, based on a 2012 statewide economic impact study,” Roth said.
