The Alliance for Aviation Across America recently commended Mitchell Mayor Ken Tracy for proclaiming February as “General Aviation Appreciation Month.”
In South Dakota, general aviation contributes an annual economic impact of $303 million.
“Mayor Tracy’s proclamation is helpful in educating the public about the contribution that general aviation makes to South Dakota’s economy, medical care, law enforcement and other vital services,” said Selena Shilad, executive director of the Alliance for Aviation Across America. “We thank Mayor Tracy for his support of general aviation, and look forward to working with him in the future.”
