A Chicago-based aircraft support company is expecting to create about 200 helicopter maintenance jobs and build a new facility at the Enterprise Municipal Airport.
The Dothan Eagle reports ( http://bit.ly/1eiDQj2) that city council approved a resolution Tuesday to give a $3.5 million loan to Brightwater Aviation Lender – which is the parent company of Alabama Aircraft Support. The company is planning a $12 million development project and has plans to build a new 60,000 square-foot hangar.
Enterprise Mayor Kenneth Boswell says the project has been in the works for 16 months and officials are expecting to hold a ground breaking soon.
Boswell says the company could have an economic impact of $10 million on the area.
