Shoreline Aerospace is expanding its business by establishing an airside parts distribution and maintenance operation at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL).
CBRE arranged the 54,500-square-foot lease, at 1800 SW 34th St., on behalf of its client, Airside Fort Lauderdale. Tenant Shoreline Aerospace, a global supplier of parts and services to the commercial airline industry and military forces, is leasing the cross-dock distribution facility.
It’s expanded services will include on-ramp maintenance, repair and overhaul services to airlines and cargo companies including landing gear services, electronics services and all airplane related maintenance services.
The Shoreline Aerospace location will employ 30 full- and part-time employees, with plans for personnel expansion as volume grows over the next few years, CBRE said in a news release.
“To distinguish the asset from other properties and to attract the right type of tenant, we embarked on a significant rebranding of the property with the owner,” said Larry W. Genet, a CBRE associate. “Capitalizing on CBRE’s depth of resources and tenant reach we found a quality aerospace firm that was the perfect fit for this unique opportunity.”
CBRE senior VP Harry Tangalakis, associate Larry W. Genet and VP Tom O’Loughlin provided exclusive representation to Airside Fort Lauderdale.
Built in 1972 and fully rebuilt in 1999, Airside Fort Lauderdale is a cross-dock industrial facility on 10.66 acres. The property includes its own airside access and is unique in that it has its own aircraft parking ramp large enough for commercial aircraft. This allows flexibility in offering services to airlines and other airport-related companies.
Airside Fort Lauderdale’s parent company is Lynxs Group, founded and owned by Ray Brimble.
