According to a synopsis of the economic impact of Commercial Jet’s relocation to the Dothan Regional Airport, 500 new jobs will be created by the company and another 1,500 jobs in the community will also be created.
There will be a $21 million initial investment in the facility and total wages will exceed $74 million a year, which will result in almost $2 million per year in annual sales tax collections.
After 10 years of operation, Commercial Jet will have paid $740 million in wages and contributed almost $23 million in sales and property taxes.
