The Alliance today commended Legislators in California for solidifying the formation of the Aviation Caucus this past week. The Caucus is aimed at raising awareness on the importance of aviation and general aviation to local communities throughout California and the country as a whole.
In California, general aviation alone supports $18.2 billion in annual economic activity. California’s aviation industry supports jobs, business operations and also assists emergency and medical personnel across the state.
The Caucus is co-chaired by State Senator Jean Fuller and Assemblyman Jim Patterson, both of whom are licensed pilots, and includes Senators Joel Anderson, Anthony Canella, Ted Gaines, Bob Huff, Mike McGuire and Richard Roth, as well as Assembly members Rocky Chavez, Jim Frazier, Shannon Grove, Brian Jones, Reginald Jones-Sawyer, Sr., Marc Levine, Melissa Melendez, Bill Quirk and Marie Waldron.
