Depsite difficult times, the demand for air travel has begun to return to St. George. In the first 6 months of operation, the replacement aiport has seen a 15% increase in paying passengers and 83 general aviation hanger contracts having been signed compared to the 63 at the previous airport. With momentum heading in the right direction, the city is hopeful that the new economic activity will eventually jump-start the areas economy. This airport serves as a vital resource for businesses in the area and with the slow return demand of air travel to the area, it is hopeful that new jobs will soon follow.
