Last year, airport traffic in San Antonio experienced growth that many hope will accelerate in 2011. The most recent economic analysis by the Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce found that the city’s aviation sector accounted for $3.8 billion. In 2010, the number of passengers passing through San Antonio International Airport increased after declining around 6 percent in 2009.
