Gallatin Field airport recorded its busiest year ever with 365,210 passengers boarding airline flights in 2010, the airport reported Friday.
This represents a 6.6% increase over 2009 and nearly 14,000 passengers more than the previous record set in 2008.
The number of aircraft operations the air traffic control tower logged also increased in 2010.
Most, 75 percent, of the 72,447 operations the tower recorded were from personal aircraft, also known as “general aviation.” Commercial and cargo flights accounted for 18 percent of the operations and corporate jets accounted for 7 percent. In all, the tower logged 5.1 percent more operations than in 2009.

Delta Air Lines – 155,924
United Airlines – 119,649
Horizon Air – 37,070
Frontier Airlines – 35,847
Allegiant Air – 15,708
