Starting tomorrow, the Citation Special Olympics Airlift will begin transporting some 800 athletes from around the country to the 2010 Special Olympics USA National Games. The airlift, the sixth such quadrennial effort, is sponsored and managed by Cessna Aircraft Co.
This remarkable event allows numerous special Olympians have the opportunity to compete the Special Olympics USA National Games. A special bond develops between volunteer pilots and the Olympians, lasting well after the flight and games end.
